SCOPE

The Consultant shall provide services that cover all aspects of SAP software implementation, operation and maintenance of the complex Client’s SAP landscape. Such services shall also include the realization of analysis on related subjects.

CONTEXT

This requirement covers the SAP Overall Business Areas of the Client SAP installation. This is a complex installation and runs various releases of SAP ECC, BW, GRC, etc.

Client implemented three SAP environments in 1996. Now they have 30+ large SAP environments.

The SAP landscape is a critical system for the Client. Most core business operations run on SAP. SAP products utilized by the Client include at the moment of the RFQ (not exhaustive list):

  • SAP ECC6 for its Logistics, Procurement, Finance and Human Resources;
  • SAP BW , Business Object, Microsoft Power BI for its Data Warehousing, Business Information System and Employee Self Service activities;
  • SAP GRC for the control of segregation of duties and Central Users Management;
  • SAP Gateway and SAP Business Technology Platform for proving a foundation enabling interoperability with non-SAP applications and Cloud hosted applications
  • SAP Portal, which is key to enable several IS services such as Business Information System;
  • SAP VIM Open Text for the Central Invoice management Office;
  • SAP Adobe Document System;
  • SAP Solution Manager for the centralized management of the entire SAP landscape; and
  • SAP HANA Database.
A wide variety of products that are required to run, manage and operate the complex IT infrastructure, are also in place.

Client staff mainly managed and administered the SAP installation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the role, supported by CV.
  • University Degree in the relevant field from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The role encompasses:
  • Knowledge of the SAP Business Area business processes
  • Hands-on knowledge of the SAP Business Area customization features
  • Functional specifications writing skills in the SAP Business Area
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports and documentation
  • Experience in dealing with business representatives
  • Knowledge of ABAP debugging (User Exits, BAPI, etc.)
  • SAP Certification in relevant area/module(s) is an asset
  • SAP S/4HANA experience in relevant area/module is an asset
